Have protein in every meal and they must be from lean sources such as fish, chicken, tuna, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, protein shakes, or lean red meat and pork. You can also throw in eggs too. Protein is very important because it helps you stay full and is very thermogenic. It is harder for your body to break down so it actually burns more calories breaking down protein as compared to carbs and fat.

Also, start eating more fiber. Fiber, just like protein keeps you full and provides you with many health benefits. Great places for fiber are any vegetables especially green in color, sugar free fiber tablets, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, oatmeal, and berries.
